Services

Preventive care, surgery, dental cleaning and diagnostics for dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and small mammals.

Vaccines

Vaccinations are essential to ensuring your pet's health and protecting them from potentially deadly diseases. State law requires dogs to be vaccinated against rabies to prevent potential transmission to humans.

Depending on your pet's lifestyle, it may be at risk of exposure to many diseases such as rabies, parvovirus, bordetella and coronavirus. Be sure to protect your loved one and have them vaccinated.

Spays & Neuters

The overpopulation of pets is a serious concern in the United States, and many diseases such as mammary gland tumors, testicular cancers and prostate problems can be prevented by spaying or neutering your pet. Because these procedures are elective, they cost far less than more urgent surgical procedures. They also reduce the hormones in your pet's body and almost always reduce instinctual behaviors such as marking or aggression.

The procedure should be done within the first 6 or 7 months of your pet's life, so get your pet spayed or neutered soon.

Puppy & Kitten Packages

We all love bringing an adorable puppy or kitten into the family. They must also be brought to the vet for a round of vaccines and deworming, since exposure to disease at such a young age can be very dangerous. The vet bill tends to stack up during the first few months of a pet's life, which is why Alleve offers comprehensive puppy and kitten packages to make keeping your young pet healthy more affordable.

Our packages include the entire vaccine series for your puppy or kitten. Your pet will visit the clinic 3–4 times to complete the series of vaccines, exams and deworming, and the package includes discounts on spaying and neutering and on heartworm medication. Please call us for more information about our Puppy & Kitten Packages.

Microchipping

At Alleve Animal Hospital we understand that a pet becomes part of the family, and losing such a loved one is devastating. This is why we offer pet microchipping, which involves a simple injection of a microchip under the skin between the front shoulder blades.

We use microchips from HomeAgain®, a company that offers a comprehensive set of services to help you find your lost pet. Each microchip has an identification number linked to the owner's contact information, which allows shelters and animal hospitals to reach you if your pet is found. Visit homeagain.com for more information.

Dental Cleaning

Research shows that proper dental care is one of the most effective ways to add years of good health to your pet's life. Like people, pets can develop diseases such as endocarditis (a heart valve infection) from dental infections, and those infections can also spread to humans. Much like in humans, dental infections hurt and make pets uncomfortable.

Some pet owners train their pets to allow their teeth to be brushed regularly, or even to enjoy it, but this is rarely the case. Bring your pet in for a regular exam and dental cleaning to make sure they stay happy and healthy for years to come.

Digital Radiology

X-ray technology has changed dramatically over the last few years. Digital radiographs are now extremely detailed and provide great insight into any structural problems your pet may have, allowing for a clearer and more effective diagnosis. Digital x-rays can also be stored on a CD for your records if you choose.
